How to choose label text that looks clean after it prints.

3D printed labels are different from paper labels. They have physical height, a real border, and raised letters that catch light. That is what makes them look more finished, but it also means the best label text is usually short and direct.

Use drawer words, not full sentences

Use SOCKETS instead of socket drawer, DRILL BITS instead of all my drill accessories, and FASTENERS instead of screws, nails, bolts, washers. Short text reads faster and prints cleaner.

Pick colors for contrast

Color matters less than contrast. Black base with white text is the safest choice for most garages. Black with yellow text is excellent for fast visibility. Red or blue bases work well when they match a cart, team color, school lab, or brand color.

Choose the right pack size

A 12-pack is best for the most-used drawers. A 24-pack is better for a full cart, craft station, or serious home garage. A 36-label kit is built for larger shops, classrooms, shared workstations, and anyone who wants everything labeled in one pass.

Think beyond toolboxes

Custom 3D printed magnetic labels also work on craft carts, maker carts, lockers, school lab cabinets, metal shelves, parts organizers, and rolling workstations. If a magnet sticks and the label text helps someone find things faster, it is a good candidate.
